Dogma, said on TV by a false authority, Dogma, meant to the slave, nothing to say on that. I don't think it serves you well going with it all the way. I decide that "fuck it", for I wont take it. Life is always first. Yeah, no more dogma of any kind I'll do what I feel right. They would make your mind duck, you'd never grow up with dogma. So I just keep them far and follow my heart cos I am dogma-free.

Raddie Call: the soft and warm light that invites you from within

Well into autumn comes the ninth EP from Beev Rations, taking a more intimate (and autumnal) turn from the previous album, but keeping the American motion and flavor in the styles of its varied songs.

Raddie Call presents five tracks: Dogma-Free, Happiness Of Love, Anne The Fined, Things and The Fine Stuff. All new songs except the last one, The Fine Stuff, a previous single that finds its natural place in this album, which also incorporates the surprise of the band's first instrumental: Anne The Fined.

Broadly framed in the Indie and Roots Rock genres, Raddie Call's songs vary in styles and moods, like the colors of the leaves and the autumn light. Thus, we have an energetic, brief and melodic Rock-Blues (Dogma-Free); an emotive and moving Country-Shuffle and Americana ballad (Happiness Of Love); the instrumental Jazz-Rock carousel of Anne The Fined; a heartfelt, ambient and deep Cosmic American Music track (Things) and, closing the album, the uplifting Country-Rock/Americana of The Fine Stuff, which takes up the shuffle in its central part.

The album's title and cover image would be evoking the sun as oneself, perhaps symbolizing the individual's own integrity and sovereignty; our nature that always calls us from within to express itself in fullness. Indeed, the assertive, empowering and intimate subject matter of the lyrics, together with the combination of grit and delicacy of Alan James' rooted music, seem to be along those lines. On the other hand, the wordplay cannot be dismissed, inasmuch as "Raddie Call" sounds almost samely than "Radical" when pronounced... again in the sense or context of one self integrity and sovereignty, no more, no less.
