Tonite I Fly To You / Audrey: the coin is tossed and will be how you call it

Just from the begining of Beev Rations' career, with that first double single “What's That? / The One I Love” (2016), the Merseysound has been openly and resolutely shown as a core or basic quality in the band's style. Now with Tonite I Fly To You / Audrey that quality is fully celebrated newly for this new double single shines in pure Mersey essence and sounds unapologetically beatlesque and yet unmistakablely Beev Rations.

Tonite I Fly To You is a very lively and salty song whose lyrics shows a groovy and joyful romance whithin the context of what it seems to be a counciousness projection (aka astral trip), while the tender and yet intense ballad Audrey is just the flip side of the coin (and disk), dealing with the absence of the loved one, nostalgia and longing. Thus, both songs are the two heartfelt aspects or poles of the same thing... or a white and a black rabbit, from Alan James' top hat.

As for production, like most of the songs that the band has been publishing in 2023, this Double Single is about the recovery and instrumental backing (added this very year) of two unreleased demos, both containing the voice and acoustic guitar of Alan James, in different takes mixed later. Thus, the basic recordings of Tonite I Fly To You (whose work title was Flying Through the Window) are dated on February 2018, while those of Audrey were made in January 2017.
