They whisper: nobody -nor even oneself- is really missing in our lives, nothing was ever lost. Just feel the rythm and ride the wave...

The eternal journey of the heart and its connections, its peaks and valleys, comings and goings, meetings and separations; the trails and vestiges that their adventures leave, the imperishable impressions that they leave on the soul... are interwoven with mystery (our own) and their paths transcend time and space. This and much more is reflected and addressed in the music and lyrics of this song. For the rest, a vibrant official video, of seagoing and dolphinic airs, accompanies the premiere of this last single of the year.

Trails Of Our Love features a sunny, heartfelt, evocative sound and, jogging liltingly on a waltz rhythm, distills rich essences of folk rock, country rock and Americana, including mersey and psychedelic aromas, along with those bluesy bursts on guitars and voices, all so beevesque.

As for the production, it is Alan James in solo voice, harmonies and choruses, sounding at times resolutely, at others sweetly, and at times filled with deep emotion. On the other hand, the instrumental tracks, as on recent releases, are a combination of select arrangements, performed by excellent session musicians, virtually gathered into what Alan James calls "The Looping Crew" (a nod to "The Wrecking Crew ”, a mythical Californian ensemble at the service of fantastic groups in the sixties). To shape Trails Of Our Love, those arrangements were personally edited, ordered and mixed by Alan himself, until reaching the desired result, which you can now savor with your ears, saying goodbye to a very busy year while you feel good vibes... from the trails of your love.
